It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing, due to rising costs and declining interest, we must cancel Houston Fiber Fest. Unfortunately, it will not be just this year; it will be for all years going forward. It has been a fun ride these past several years, and we thank you for the memories.
We’ve had a rough time these past few years, but we’ve found a new location and the next festival is scheduled for June 26-27, 2026! We are moving to The KBC Houston at 6011 W Orem Dr.
We will post more details later in the year. For now, make sure you are following us on Facebook & Instagram to stay updated. We miss y’all, and we’re so happy to be back!
Here we go again, y’all. Unfortunately we have to cancel Houston Fiber Fest 2025. We’re so sorry to bring you this news.
Renovation delays at the Berry Center have pushed some scheduled repairs back later in the year, and they are not able to guarantee that the hall will be available during our weekend. We have been unable to find a new location on such short notice.
We are extremely bummed. We know y’all are bummed, too. We’re doing our best to take this news in stride and move forward. We’re looking into what our options are for 2026 and we’ll make a public announcement once those decisions are made.
Did you miss us? We missed you! We are so excited to announce that Houston Fiber Fest will return in 2025!
We’re making some changes this year.
The biggest and most obvious one you’ll notice is that our vendor hall will only be open on Friday and Saturday this year. Venue rental costs have skyrocketed since the start of the pandemic, and unfortunately our income has not.
There is also a possibility we may have to charge attendees a small entrance fee. Were exploring sponsorship options to see if we can avoid that. Since we are not independently wealthy (If you know any lottery winners, please send them our way!), this event has to pay for itself in order to be sustainable. We’re doing what we can to try and make that happen.
We are run entirely by volunteers, which helps a lot. The income from an entrance fee, plus the money we save by not renting the vendor hall for a third day, was enough to balance the budget for this year. We know that’s not the best news, but we’re going to have a fun year anyway!
DRUMROLL PLEASE…
We are accepting vendor applications! If you’re a vendor who would like to apply for a booth at Houston Fiber Fest, click the link below. If you are a future attendee, please forward this email to your favorite yarn stores, indie dyers, and fiber artists and tell them you’d like to see them at our show!
