Frequently Asked Questions

When and where will the festival be held?
Our event is usually held in late June
at The Berry Center
8877 Barker Cypress Rd
Cypress, TX

Turn into the Berry Center parking lot at the traffic light and come into the building through Entrance 2.

How much does the festival cost? What about parking?
Both the parking and admission to the vendor hall is free. (Class tickets are available for purchase.)

Will there be food available?
Yes, there will be box lunches, stadium food, snacks, and drinks available at the concession stand. There are also soda and snack vending machines in the building. Outside food and drinks are not allowed.

Is The Berry Center accessible to those with disabilities?
There is plenty of handicap parking available throughout the parking lot. But be aware: The Berry Center is a large campus and you might have to do a lot of walking, even from the closest parking spaces.

Can I bring my spouse and my kids?
Everyone of every age, race, gender, orientation is welcome at Houston Fiber Fest! There will be plenty of seating in the lounge area for your family and guests to rest while you shop or take classes.

However, please be aware that this event is geared toward serious crafters. We do not provide babysitting services, play areas, or other child-friendly activities. Some of our vendors have items on display that are valuable and/or breakable. If you bring your kids with you, please keep them close and monitor their behavior.

Can I bring my dog?
From the Berry Center’s website, regarding service animals: “Berry Center welcomes all service animals trained for the purpose of assisting those with disabilities. The ADA defines a service animal as, “dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.” Examples of such work or tasks include guiding people who are blind, alerting people who are deaf, pulling a wheelchair, alerting and protecting a person who is having a seizure, reminding a person with mental illness to take prescribed medications, calming a person with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) during an anxiety attack, or performing other duties. Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.”

Where can I find lost items?
Please stop by the information booth during the festival, or contact info@houstonfiberfest.com afterwards to arrange pickup.

What items are prohibited at the Berry Center?

  • Weapons (both open and concealed carry)
  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco, vapes, e-cigarettes
