2020 Vendor Application Extended!

Howdy! Our 2020 Vendor Application has been extended to November 11, 2019. There is still time to apply if you haven’t already!

The Houston Fiber Fest has had an increase in visitors every year, and every year is unique. Join us as a vendor at our can’t miss 2020 event!

WHO SHOULD APPLY TO VEND AT HOUSTON FIBER FEST

  • Houston Fiber Fest ONLY accepts vendors who primarily sell yarn, fiber, and other items directly related to fiber arts. No exceptions.
  • This is a juried event. Our team hand picks a selection of vendors with a focus on those local to Texas and the surrounding area. Houston Fiber Fest aims to be a destination for buyers to find unique, high quality products and premium specialty items.
  • Sales and show specials are allowed, but we strongly discourage deep discounting. Our show is not an appropriate place to liquidate your clearance bin. If any vendor ignores this suggestion, it may affect whether that vendor is invited to return the following year.
  • We do not accept vendor applications from the following:
    • No direct sales or multi level marketing reps (LuLaRoe, Jamberry, Scentsy, etc.)
    • No sellers with a majority of products outside the fiber-arts community (jewelry, general crafts, etc.)
    • No sellers with primarily finished objects such as knitted, crocheted, or woven items

Visit our Vendors page for more information. We look forward to reviewing your application!

Saturday Night with Cat Bordhi

Join us on Saturday evening at 6:30 pm in the Cypress Room for an amazing lecture by Cat Bordhi. Tickets are available at Eventbrite until Thursday at 5pm. After that you can purchase tickets at the door for $11.

Bordhi has been traveling to Perú since 2013 on a series of journeys that she calls intimate and transformational. During these travels, Bordhi has spent time with Peruvian knitters whose textile traditions extend back in time for thousands of years. She says, “Peruvian culture is a kaleidoscope of sensuous colors, smells, music, food, flowers, animals, and the constant communion of human warmth.” Her talk aims to reveal something of the remarkable spatial intelligence that she’s discovered in Peruvian knitters of all ages, through the stories of the individuals she has knit with on her travels. But be warned, Bordhi adds that, “attending this talk may make you long to go to Perú.”

Friday night social

When the vendor hall closes on Friday, head over to the Cypress room (walk out Entrance 2 and turn left) and join us for a fun, low key social event. We will be celebrating the Longest Day, benefitting the Alzheimer’s Association. Join us for some crafting, socializing, and light snacks and learn about the latest in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Everyone at the Social will become part of Team Houston Fiber Fest 2019! Let’s show the world that the fiber community cares about those who are fighting this terrible disease and the people who care for them.

The event will start at 6:30pm and it’s free and open to the public.
